The Access Hub is Wake County’s main entry into our homelessness response system for those at-risk of or currently experiencing homelessness. The Access Hub can connect Wake County residents to the help they need. Individuals and families may be referred to emergency shelter, street outreach, transitional housing, or homelessness prevention programs depending on their need.
Wake County residents in need of other resources such as food pantries or transportation can visit the Wake Network of Care website: wake.nc.networkofcare.org.
Access Hub CAN:
Provide friendly and compassionate service
Assess your needs
Assist in coming up with creative solutions
Assist in figuring out what resources are available to you
Provide referrals to shelters, street outreach projects, or prevention programs, if necessary
Eliminate the need to constantly call shelters for bed space
Access Hub CAN NOT:
Provide financial assistance, including rental assistance, deposits.
Provide immediate shelter (referrals may be placed on a waitlist)
Provide hotel vouchers
Provide housing vouchers or low-income housing
Determine or guarantee eligibility of community resources
Provide transportation or bus passes
Act as landlords, housing providers, or housing navigators/locators

We eliminated the need to call multiple providers to access shelter and services. We are proud to partner with the following sites to provide you with the same information and service you will get at the Access Hub. All sites work together to provide you with the best options. Whether you call the Access Hub, or one of these sites, you only need to call once!
